Great Weekend!

The Walk the Light Art Festival was really fun. I received lots of encouragement from kids, women and men about recycling the plastic bags into market bags and totes. That was great. Everyone was so nice. There was awesome food and cupcakes. The cupcake place was across from me and had a steady stream of people in and out. Guess we all have our sweet tooth! :) I have a few bags left from the weekend if anyone is interested. There are some pretty colors in different sizes, some little ones that would make great Easter baskets and then become purses for those little girls.

I did get some ideas for different bags, etc. so if you have any let me know. Also let me know if you have any interesting colors of bags. I have plenty white and brown for right now. We could work out a deal I am sure. :)

My little punkin here likes to "shay". She thinks all the bags I make are for her. Someday she will really be able to do this! Love it! I have another granddaughter who is also itching to try her hand at it.

Sunday was Winter Jam - with temps in the 80s it didn't feel like winter. We volunteered and had a great experience helping where they needed us. A fun and spirit-filled event. It was so exciting to be part of an event that praises the Lord and gives great direction to so many teens. A great night!

  1. Love the idea of the art festival at nighttime under the lights. How many bags do you need to make a bag?

    1. It was really pretty under the lights and amazingly well lit. You would have enjoyed the night. I can use 30 - 100 bags depending on the size. Caleb sent me some pretty aqua ones from his store in OH.
